About Cinco Chiles Taqueria

Cinco Chiles Taqueria is born out of a love for Mexican cuisine and a family history that spans generations and cultures. Its founder grew up among aromas and flavors, helping her parents in the taqueria they ran in Houston, Texas, after emigrating from Central America. There, her father learned the secrets of Mexican cuisine, which he passed on to her from an early age.

 

At age 9, the family moved to Massachusetts, where she continued her culinary legacy. In 2012, Erica opened her first restaurant, El Tikal, in Lynn, specializing in Central American food from Guatemala and El Salvador. However, he always had a dream of paying homage to his family's Mexican roots.

 

That dream came true in 2024 with the opening of Cinco Chiles Taqueria, first in Chelsea and then in Natick. The Chelsea location has a special significance, as it belonged to her grandmother, who years earlier had founded Chelsea's first Montecristo restaurant there.

Cinco Chiles represents not only tradition and flavor, but also the effort of a family that has lived gastronomy with passion and dedication. Each dish tells a story, and each visit is an invitation to share it.

 

Sobre Cinco Chiles Taquería

Cinco Chiles Taquería nace del amor por la cocina mexicana y de una historia familiar que abarca generaciones y culturas. Su fundadora creció entre aromas y sabores, ayudando a sus padres en la taquería que administraban en Houston, Texas, tras emigrar de Centroamérica. Allí, su papá aprendió los secretos de la cocina mexicana, los cuales le transmitió desde temprana edad.

 

A los 9 años, la familia se mudó a Massachusetts, donde continuó su legado culinario. En 2012, Erica abrió su primer restaurante, El Tikal, en Lynn, especializado en comida centroamericana de Guatemala y El Salvador. Sin embargo, siempre tuvo el sueño de rendir homenaje a las raíces mexicanas de su familia.

 

Ese sueño se hizo realidad en 2024 con la apertura de Cinco Chiles Taquería, primero en Chelsea y luego en Natick. El local de Chelsea tiene un significado especial, ya que pertenecía a su abuela, quien años atrás había fundado allí el primer restaurante Montecristo de Chelsea.

Cinco Chiles representa no solo tradición y sabor, sino también el esfuerzo de una familia que ha vivido la gastronomía con pasión y entrega. Cada platillo cuenta una historia, y cada visita es una invitación a compartirla.
